The Meta Context
In World of Warcraft: Midnight (Patch 12.0.7), Feral Druids have clawed their way to the upper echelons of the Melee DPS rankings. Bolstered by the heavy bleed synergies of the Wildstalker Hero Talent tree, Feral delivers terrifying single-target tunnel damage and potent, uncapped cleave through highly lethal damage-over-time effects. This patch rewards meticulous energy management and precise snap-shotting of Tiger's Fury. While squishier than heavily armored melee counterparts in Void-corrupted Mythic+ dungeons, their unrivaled mobility and powerful self-healing via Predatory Swiftness procs make them highly self-sufficient and dangerous in capable hands.
Stat Priority
Optimizing your secondary stats is critical for Feral in Patch 12.0.7. The current priority is:
- Agility: Your primary stat. Always take high item level upgrades, as Agility directly increases your Attack Power and the baseline damage of all your attacks and bleeds.
- Mastery (Razor Claws): Feral's most powerful secondary stat by a wide margin. Mastery scales up the damage of your bleed abilities (Rake, Rip, Thrash), which account for the vast majority of your overall output as a Wildstalker.
- Critical Strike: Extremely valuable because Feral heavily relies on crits to generate extra combo points. More combo points mean faster finishers and more uptime on Rip.
- Versatility: Offers a flat damage increase and damage reduction. While nice for survivability in high-level Mythic+, it generally lags behind Mastery and Crit for pure DPS throughput.
- Haste: The least valuable stat for Feral. While it increases Energy regeneration and auto-attack speed, it does not speed up bleed tick rates, making it highly inefficient to stack.
Core Rotation
Single-Target Priority
- Tiger's Fury: Use on cooldown, but ensure you aren't about to overcap Energy. Try to cast this just before applying your major bleeds to snapshot the damage buff.
- Maintain Rake & Rip: Keep near 100% uptime on both bleeds. Only refresh them within the Pandemic window (less than 30% duration remaining) and ideally when buffed by Tiger's Fury.
- Maintain Thrash: Keep this bleed active to trigger necessary talent procs and to feed your damage profile.
- Adaptive Swarm (if talented): Keep this bouncing between you and the target to amplify bleed effects.
- Generate Combo Points: Spam Shred (or Brutal Slash if talented and holding charges) to build towards 5 combo points. Ensure you attack from behind if not playing with the positional requirement removed.
- Spend Combo Points: Cast Ferocious Bite at 5 combo points when Rip does not need refreshing, making sure to pool at least 50 energy to maximize the bite's bonus damage.
AoE (3+ Targets) Priority
- Tiger's Fury: Pop on cooldown to buff your incoming AoE bleeds.
- Apply Thrash: Keep Thrash active on all targets at all times.
- Spread Rake: Tab-target and apply Rake to multiple priority targets within the pack.
- Spend Combo Points (Primal Wrath): At 5 combo points, cast Primal Wrath to apply Rip to all enemies within range. Do not cast individual Rips in an AoE scenario.
- Generate Combo Points: Spam Swipe (or Brutal Slash) to hit all targets and rapidly build combo points.
Consumables & Enhancements
Ensure you bring the right supplies to overcome the challenges of Patch 12.0.7:
- Flask: Flask of Midnight Savagery (Significantly boosts Agility with a slight penalty to Haste).
- Potion: Potion of Void-Touched Prowess for massive burst windows during Bloodlust or Incarnation.
- Food: Grand Void-Seared Feast for the raid-wide Agility buff.
- Weapon Enchant: Enchant Weapon - Void-Scarred Agility (Procs a massive burst of Attack Power).
- Gems: Socket your gear with Masterful Void-Amethyst to heavily stack Mastery, or use one Fierce Primal Diamond for the critical strike damage modifier.
